According to the Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, in the first half of this year, Hunan received a total of 322 million tourists, and generated a tourism revenue of 492.771 billion yuan, an increase of 10.33% and 12.7% year on year respectively.
From January to March this year, the operating revenue of cultural and related enterprises above designated size in Hunan was 69.647 billion yuan, a growth of 5% over the same period of last year.
From January to May, the audio and video companies above designated size achieved a revenue of 105.63 billion yuan, up 15.6% year on year.
In the first half of the year, there were a total of 327 major cultural and tourism projects under construction in the province, with a total investment of 167.7 billion yuan, and a cumulative investment of 48.881 billion yuan has been completed. 227 new cultural and tourism projects were signed in the province, with 130 projects starting construction.
From January to May, the investment growth rate in the culture, sports, and entertainment industries in the province was 3.7%, 2.2 percentage points higher than the average investment growth rate in the province.
